Hey Hey Funders! Happy June!
I know that you’re nosey, but I wanted to give this interaction that I had with someone over on Threads some love, so I’m sharing it with the chat (you’re the chat, duh).
“I know I need to reset my money situation, but I’m stuck. Where do I even begin?”
This person saw me giving advice like I love to do over on Threads and slid into my DMs on IG. Love it.
They felt like they were on a hamster wheel. I get it. I hear this all the time. Especially from Women starting over with their lives and livelihood – whether single or with a couple of kids or as a widow. And I’ve been there in some form or fashion.
Whether you’re starting over after a layoff, feeling behind in your 30s or 40s, or just tired of living paycheck to paycheck — the overwhelm is real.
But here’s what I told them. And maybe it’s what you need, too:
Step 1: "Audit Your Wallet"...
Y'all know that's my favorite saying, but it sticks for this situation. Before you can plan for the future, understand the present.
I wrote a full blog post called “Audit Your Wallet: Build A Roadmap To Your Money Goals” to walk through it. You’ll review what’s coming in, what’s going out, and where you’re leaking money — all with no judgment.
Step 2: Build a flexible budget.
Budgets aren’t just for people with 9–5s and predictable paychecks. I help creatives, freelancers, parents, and side-hustlers build budgets that flex with their lives.
Catch my YouTube video where I walk through how to make it simple and doable.
I’m nosy: What’s been a pivotal point when it comes to your money? What steps did you take to right your wallet and wholeness?
Step 3: Tackle Debt With a real plan.
Credit card debt is real. And most of us have used our cards as a lifeline at some point. No shame — just strategy.
My blog post “Drowning In Debt? Here’s The Roadmap To Pay It Off Faster” (link here) breaks it into bite-sized, doable steps within your budget.
If you’re nodding along like “this is me,” I got you:
- My Budget + Cash Flow Blueprint gives you a framework to reset and rebuild.
- Or you can book an Ask Me Anything: Extended Session and we’ll walk through your whole situation together.
I'm being nosy: What’s one money habit you wish you understood better?

Happy June!

What Are You Calling In?
I asked over on Threads and Facebook the other day this question: "If you had an unlimited budget, what would your summer look like? What would be the vibes?! 👀" Reply back or go comment under the post.
